Regular Season Round 15: Crvena zvezda - FMP BG 97-63

One of the most interesting games of round 15 was a derby match between two teams from Serbia. The game took place in Beograd where first rankedCrvena zvezda outleveled visiting FMP BG (7-8) 97-63 . Crvena zvezda dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to FMP BG 's 28 and made 17-of-22 charity shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Crvena zvezda forced 23 FMP BG turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for center Filip Petrusev (211-2000, college: Gonzaga) who led his team to a victory with 21 points. American-Russian center Joel Bolomboy (205-1994, college: Weber St., agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with 8 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Swingman Filip Barna (201-1999) answered with 21 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and center Nikola Gasic (212-2001) added 8 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for FMP BG. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Crvena zvezda (13-2) have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending Serbian champion maintains first place, which they share with Partizan and Buducnost. FMP BG lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with eight games lost.
